When 3 becomes 4

It feels like I've know Becky forever.
Not true, but it feels like it.

A friend and I threw Becky a baby shower about a month ago in anticipation of another little girl joining the family;
and as it always is when you are the party planner: I did not get a gift made or even thought of because I wanted her party to be perfect.
So I offered to take maternity pictures instead.
She jumped on the chance ---
and not a moment too soon.
We took these pictures on Saturday and Daisy Mai came on Monday.

I loved every moment of our session and I think that we really captured the dynamic of their family and the beauty of a new little baby joining them all.

And Then There Were Three

I think that there is a joy, in and of itself,
when you know that you're going to have a third -- and of the same sex.
You don't have to worry about clothes of any size and its gotten to be pretty routine when that third one comes around.

It was a lot of fun taking Evelyn's maternity pictures.
We had fun trying different poses and the bigger boys did their very best at cooperating as long as they could.

John & Evelyn hadn't settled on a name for their little guy when we took the pictures
(though he did end up coming home an Ezra -LOVE!)

Can you beleive this one?
I barely did myself.
Evelyn put her toe shoes on to prove a dare to a friend.
I was beyond impressed that she was even able to balance.
We only tried a little bit...I didn't want a pregnant woman falling on my watch!

Cason

Cason turned eight years-old and we need to get some awesome pictures of him STAT for his mom to use in his baptism announcement.

I really love it when the kids get a little older, because you can really knock out a photo session in a little amount of time (which for boys is IDEAL!)
We snapped his pictures in probably under ten minutes
(I'm sure the fact that it was starting to rain didn't help us to get done any faster, either)

PLUS: we just did it in his mom's backyard. Everything was green and beautiful. It was the perfect backdrop for a uber-handsome fella!

I've used an actual CTR ring before, but his mom thought that the scrabble tiles were a nice break from that. I think that it turned out great!

A N D --- the finished product. LOVE it!

6-month Kenzie

What a complete and total DOLL!
Kenzie is just so adorable.
It was a lot of fun to capture her this time around.
She was just barely begining to sit up and learn that balance, so she was a little lop-sided when we were trying to get her to stay upright.
She's got the most beautiful blue eyes and such a winning smile.
